Description:
• Impregnation of Nb3Sn coils of the 11T dipole and QXF magnets for the High Luminosity LHC Project;
• Assessment of the reproducibility and operational safety of the process, which is currently used in the Large Magnet Facility at CERN;
• Study of improvements and implementation of solutions, as needed. Areas of improvements are the industrial control system, the instrumentation and piping of the machine, the ultimate goal being to increase the overall effectiveness of the system w.r.t. evacuation, impregnation, pressurization and curing of the coils.
